“Nobody is posting his music because he’s still alive. If he was truly dead by now, una no go let people rest” – Yul Edochie slams Nigerians after Oladips admits to faking his own death
Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has attributed rapper Oladips’ recent fake death announcement to the hypocritical affection Nigerians show for deceased individuals. The actor expressed his concern over the sanctimonious love and backing given to the departed, emphasizing that such attitudes might have driven Oladips to stage his own demise.
Oladips, initially declared dead by his management, has since presented evidence proving his continued existence. Yul Edochie, in response, encouraged Nigerians to sustain their interest in Oladips’ music even after confirming his survival. He emphasized the importance of supporting artists while they are alive, asserting that they shouldn’t wait for someone to pass away before extending their support.
He wrote; “What’s up with the guy who faked his death? Una no wan trend am? Nobody is posting him?
“Nobody is posting his music cos he’s still alive. If he was truly dead by now, una no go let people rest. Everybody will be posting his picture and his music.
“To support dead people dey sweet una pass the ones wey dey alive. Support him now that he’s alive, jealousy and envy no go let una.”
