My oga remains my oga – Fubara affirms loyalty to Wike

Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of Rivers State, has affirmed his loyalty to his predecessor, Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

Fubara conveyed this sentiment at the rededication ceremony marking the commencement of the 2023–2024 legal year for the Rivers State Judiciary. Both Fubara and Wike were present at the event held at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church in the state capital.

According to him; “My oga remains my oga. Whatever that has happened is in the past. I have not sent anybody to malign anybody.”

Fubara issued a caution to his supporters, urging them to avoid using offensive language against his opponents. He underscored that he had not authorized any derogatory remarks.

The meeting at the church service represented the initial public appearance of the two politicians since the onset of the recent political controversy. Nyesom Wike exchanged handshakes with his successor and remained seated beside him throughout the event.
