Poverty is not a shameful thing but we need to dig ourselves out of it – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has stressed the imperative for Nigeria to uplift itself from poverty. He urged members of his cabinet and top civil service management to collaborate and alter Nigeria’s story, fostering economic prosperity.

He said this during the conclusion of a three-day cabinet retreat held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja

The President acknowledged that while poverty isn’t a matter of shame, it’s essential for individuals to chart a course out of it.

He said; Since we are one family and one nation, and we are in this vehicle together, to change the narrative and bring about economic prosperity of our country; are we ready?Poverty is not a shameful thing but its not just acceptable. If you check your history, theres a trace of poverty in it but we should find a way to dig ourselves out of it. So, it is left for you and me to navigate his ship out of poverty.
