Road no good, una dey buy new SUV – Mayorkun slams Lawmakers

Singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has urged the members of the National Assembly to prioritize the repair and improvement of Nigerian roads over acquiring new vehicles for themselves.

It’s been noted that many Nigerians have criticized the acquisition of 2023 model Toyota Prado vehicles for the 469 Assembly members. Sunday Karimi, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Services, defended the procurement, citing the poor condition of Nigerian roads as a reason.

In response, via his Snapchat page, Mayorkun expressed his viewpoint, encouraging the lawmakers to focus on fixing the country’s roads rather than investing in new vehicles for their own use.

He wrote, “Road no good, una dey buy new SUV.

“Fix the f**king rooooadddddd!!!!

“Lekki Epe Express is Terrible!. Appalling sh*t!

“Nothing like I can drive’ in this country o, I sabi road’ is a better compliment.”
