We inherited an empty Treasury and nothing to show – Sokoto Governor, Aliyu

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State stated that he took over an exhausted state treasury from his predecessor, Aminu Tambuwal. Responding to Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kanu’s inquiry about how he managed to complete 100 projects in his initial 100 days in office during a condolence visit, Aliyu claimed that not a single monetary handover was made by the former governor Tambuwal.

“We inherited an empty Treasury and nothing to show, not a single paper was handed over to us. We made sacrifice to change the narrative of the state and we have succeeded in changing it within the last 100 days, he said
