Reactions as footballer Michelle Alozie refers to a woman as her “husband”

Super Falcons standout Michelle Alozie sparked conversations and online activity when she posted a photo alongside a lady, humorously labeling her as “my husband.” In the image, the woman is embracing Alozie from behind.

The Nigerian footballer captioned the photo: “Happy us over them day.” 

She added: “to my husband”.

The photo quickly made its way to X as Nigerians speculated about her sexuality. 

Alozie has now clarified. Apparently, it is the others lady’s birthday and she was simply celebrating her. 

“I like guys. Lol. Relax” Alozie wrote.
