Tinubu should release Nnamdi Kanu to prove Nigeria is not a lawless nation – Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimajor, the Special Counsel representing Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has issued an appeal to President Bola Tinubu.

Ejimakor has called on Tinubu to demonstrate that Nigeria operates under the rule of law by releasing Kanu. He emphasized that a nation can be considered lawless if it refuses to release Kanu, especially when both local and international communities have declared his arrest as having been conducted in a manner that violates established legal norms.

Tweeting, Ejimakor wrote: “It’s only a lawless nation that would persist in detaining a man whose rendition & detention have been municipally & internationally declared ILLEGAL, even with compensation & apology awarded.

“@officialABAT should #FreeMNK to prove that Nigeria is not a lawless nation.”
