Seminarian burnt to death as bandits set Catholic parish house ablaze in Kaduna

Suspected bandits launched an attack on St. Raphael Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the tragic death of the seminarian, Bro. Naam Stephen Ngofe Danlami. This incident occurred at the Parish in Kalimantan, which falls under the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan in Jema’a Local Government Area of the state.

According to a report from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the assailants carried out their assault on the parish house around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night, September 7, 2023, setting it on fire along with a vehicle.

The seminarian, Stephen Naman, lost his life due to smoke inhalation while attempting to escape from the attackers. The Acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, ASP Mansir Alhassan, has confirmed this tragic incident.
