You cannot frustrate me – Minister of Works, David Umahi tells Civil Servants
Mr. David Umahi, the Minister of Works, has issued a cautionary message to civil servants, advising them against obstructing his endeavors to enhance the quality of infrastructure across the nation.
During an interaction with contractors and senior civil servants in the ministry, Umahi communicated his expectation that his documents should not linger on the desks of ministry officials for more than two hours. He expressed his determination to instill a sense of discipline and diligence within the administrative framework.
The former Governor of Ebonyi State also asserted that his accountability is primarily to the Almighty God and President Bola Tinubu, underlining that he is not answerable to any other individual.
He further employed an analogy to emphasize the significance of public funds, likening their misappropriation to afflictions like cancer, leprosy, and HIV/AIDS. Umahi warned that anyone found misusing such funds during his tenure would be met with a curse.
“No civil servant has the capacity to frustrate me. You can’t keep my file in your office for two hours. You can’t try it, he said
they have to do it……
