Buhari expresses anguish as bandits kill soldiers in Niger state

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the loss of Nigerian soldiers’ lives in Niger State, expressing his distress regarding the soldiers who were tragically killed in the region.

Insurgents targeted Nigerian Army personnel in the Zungeru vicinity of Niger State, resulting in casualties. These troops had been dispatched to Kundu village within the Wushishi Local Government Area following a recent episode of banditry that had unsettled the region.

Reacting to this, Buhari in a tweet wrote; “His Excellency, @MBuhari has expressed his anguish over the death of several soldiers who were killed in an ambush, and a subsequent helicopter crash in Niger State.”
