I promise not to disappoint – Festus Keyamo appreciates President Tinubu for making him Aviation Minister

The newly appointed Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has expressed his commitment not to let down President Bola Tinubu.

Keyamo conveyed this sentiment while expressing gratitude to the President for entrusting him with a ministerial role.

Taking to Twitter, Keyamo stated: “Thank you, Mr. President. On my honour, I promise not to disappoint.”

Keyamo previously held the position of Minister of Labour and Employment in the immediate past administration under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

During his confirmation process, there was a considerable commotion in the Senate, prompting an executive session to be called.

Senator Darlington Nwokocha, a representative of the Labour Party from Abia Central Senatorial District, raised a point of order.

Nwokocha outlined how Keyamo had impeded the House of Representatives Committee from fulfilling its oversight responsibilities concerning the allocation of N52 billion to his Ministry.

Having elucidated this, Nwokocha proposed that the confirmation process for Keyamo should be postponed in accordance with parliamentary regulations.
