Increase in pump price: Buhari was speaking to us through parables when he was trekking in the street of Daura instead of driving. But we didn’t get the message – Daniel Bwala

Daniel Bwala, an aide to the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, criticized the federal government for the recent increase in the fuel pump price.

Bwala expressed his dismay at the sudden hike in fuel prices, stating that Nigerians are facing ”renewed shege” due to this development. He questioned the rationale behind forcing Nigerians to purchase fuel at international market prices while workers are not paid according to the international minimum wage standards.

Taking to Twitter, Bwala mentioned that former President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent trekking around Daura, Katsina State, was seen as a warning to Nigerians about the difficult times ahead.

According to Bwala: “We are forced to buy the fuel at the international market price, but are our workers paid the international minimum wage rate? Is our living conditions equal to international standards? The last time IBB implemented the world bank or IMF structural adjustment program, Nigeria went into world bank or IMF slave market.

“The other day Buhari was speaking to us through parables when he was trekking in the street of Daura instead of driving. But we didn’t get the message. We are about to experience renewed shege walahi.

“Chai, the price of fuel e dan climb ohh. Walahi tallahi, e Dey hot for pocket. Dollar sep I don climb to 815 naira. Our hope I Dey renew?”
