I regret getting married, Ini Edo says she was pressured by family members

Nollywood actress Iniobong Edo has expressed her regret over getting married. Ini Edo married Philip Ehiagwina, an American based businessman, on November 29, 2008. However, the marriage ended in divorce after five years in 2013.

During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Ini Edo revealed that she felt pressured by her family to marry and that it was not the right decision.

She did mention that if the right person comes along, she would consider getting married again. Regarding her decision to have a baby through surrogacy, Ini Edo explained that she opted for surrogacy due to several miscarriages and the desire to have a child of her own, even without a husband. She wanted the child to be biologically hers, using her own eggs, which fortunately were viable, leading her to choose surrogacy.
