“I would have been another Dadiyata but Almighty saved my life under the Government of Mr. El-Rufai” – Shehu Sani recalls how he escaped assassination attempts

Former Kaduna Lawmakre, Shehu Sani has expressed gratitude to God for saving his life during the tenure of former Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai. He believes that if it weren’t for divine intervention, he could have suffered the same fate as the missing journalist, Abubakar Idris, also known as Dadiyata.

Dadiyata went missing on August 2, 2019, after unidentified individuals abducted him from his residence in Barnawa, Kaduna State.

Senator Sani shared screenshots of news reports. One highlighted how the police and Department of State Services (DSS) foiled an assassination attempt on his life in 2022, while another depicted thugs storming his press conference in 2017 and assaulting a journalist.
