Even Peter Obi said he would remove subsidy – Daddy Freeze defends Tinubu

Controversial on-air-personality, Daddy Freeze, has expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding the removal of subsidies on petroleum products.

In a recent development, Tinubu declared the elimination of fuel subsidies during his inaugural speech at the Eagles Square on Monday. This announcement has sparked diverse reactions among Nigerians, particularly from opposition parties. While some have commended Tinubu for taking a bold step, others argue that the timing of the policy is unfavorable.

Responding to the criticism from supporters of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Daddy Freeze took to his Instagram page and directed them to an older tweet where Obi himself referred to fuel subsidies in the country as organized crime.
