Seun Kuti has described his ordeal while in police custody.

Following a viral video in which he was seen assaulting a police officer, the singer was held at the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos, as ordered by the Yaba Chief Magistrate Court. Kuti was eventually granted bail on Tuesday, having spent eight days in detention.

On Friday, Kuti took to his Instastory to share his unpleasant experience behind bars. He recounted being forced to lie on a “hard cold floor” alongside other prisoners.

However, he expressed that despite the discomfort, it was still a better alternative compared to associating with politicians, whom he referred to as the “devil’s house.”
