Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has shared the distressing experience of enduring numerous scandals surrounding her family over the past few years.

Annie revealed that these scandals have deeply affected her on a personal level, leading to emotional abuse and public ridicule.

Recalling the well-known incidents of her husband, Innocent Idibia (popularly known as 2Baba), being involved in cheating scandals and an alleged affair with one of his exes, Pero Adeniyi, Annie explained that she often vented her frustrations on social media due to her troubled marriage and the lack of support from her husband’s family.

During the second season of the Young, Famous & African reality show, Annie expressed her belief that these scandals gained traction because people are inclined to believe negative stories about her and her husband.

She lamented, “People are eager to embrace the bad news, to believe the worst. They perceive me as the target of criticism, along with Innocent. They come forward and tell me that I am a disgrace to women. People… people can be heartless.”
