UNIBEN final year student dies in her sleep

Maria Precious Tunde, a final-year student at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), passed away while sleeping, as reported by the Nigerian Tribune.

The tragic incident took place on April 30, 2023, at her off-campus hostel in Ekosodin Village, which is a student community close to the school’s Ugbowo campus.

According to sources, Maria was in good health and went to bed on Saturday, April 29, 2023, before the unfortunate occurrence. It was also revealed that she was studying in the Faculty of Education at UNIBEN.

All efforts to resuscitate her proved abortive. Co-tenants subsequently invited her parents to the scene.
