Binani: Police arrest Adamawa INEC REC, Yunusa Ari

On Tuesday, the police arrested Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State. The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the news in a statement.

The police spokesperson stated that Hudu was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had requested that Hudu be apprehended for his illegal declaration of Aisha Dahiru Binani Ahmed, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, as the winner of the supplementary poll.
