I am not yet convinced that the new naira notes can increase the value of our currency – Giwa

Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has said that he is not convinced that the redesign of the Naira notes can increase the value of the Naira.

The cleric, who described the move as “brainless”, said the notes “look fake and ugly”.

“The new N500 is just like the old N200 in color while the new N500 is the same as N10 in color.

“I am not yet convinced that the new naira notes can increase the value of our currency.

“Can they reduce the prices of garri, rice or beans?”, his statement asked.

He said the ruling party had put Nigeria “in a state of confusion and unprecedented hardship” since 2015.

The cleric added that no one grabs a thing with deceit and lies “and expects to succeed”.
