Bandits kill village head, abduct his two wives and three others in Plateau
Bandits have killed the village head of Nyalun community in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau identified as Malam Sunusi Idris Haruna (Sarkin Nyalun).
The incident which happened on Monday Night, October 17, 2022 saw the death of two residents and abduction of five others including the village head’s two wives
Acording to residents, the gunmen invaded the community around 8:pm on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically.
“The attackers came in their numbers and started shooting sporadically. They went straight to the traditional ruler’s house, killed him and abducted five members of his family,” the youth leader said. “The also killed two other people before entering into the house of the village head,” Sambo added.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Alabo Alfred, while confirming the incident, said three people were killed in the incident.
