Today, the battle to rebuild and unite our Country moves forward – Atiku says as he becomes PDP presidential flag bearer

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has pledged to rebuild and unite the country.

He said this following his victory at the People’s Democratic party (PDP) presidential primary

Atiku polled a total of 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who garnered 237 votes and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who polled 70 votes.

Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page said he is honored and looks forward to passing the message of hope and unity to Nigerians.

He wrote; “Today, the battle to rebuild and unite our great country moves forward. I’m honoured to be named the @OfficialPDPNig candidate.

“I look forward to speaking with Nigerians across the country, taking the message of hope and unity as we build one future for one people. AA.”
