“No be Nollywood cause am” – Yul Edochie criticizes those blaming Nollywood for Ritual Killings

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has criticized those who blame Nollywood movies for the trend in ritual killings nowadays.

Yul Edochie in a post on Social Media noted that ritual killings has always existed even way before Nollywood.

He asserted that poverty and hunger are the root causes of crime and that Nollywood merely depicts what occurs in the society, and how Nigerians are living in abject poverty.

“From when I was a kid in the eighties I started hearing about ritual killing in Nigeria. Then there was no Nollywood. Hunger and poverty make people to do crime. No be Nollywood cause am”, he wrote
