EFCC dismisses Photo of Obi Cubana with alleged Staff, warns Socialite’s Publicists

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclaimed a trending photograph involving Obi Cubana and a dozen other people alleged to being members of staff of the Commission.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Friday said the individuals are not the agency’s staff and advised the public “not to be misled by another mischievous stunt by Cubana’s publicists.”

The Anambra-born club owner was arrested on Monday by the Anti-graft agency for alleged Money laundering and tax fraud, his travel documents were also seized. He was later released on Thursday evening.

The businessman faces a “serious case”, according to a source. Investigations are still ongoing.
