The time people spend sharing Aso ebi will not allow them sit down and reflect if they truly mean those marital vows – Fr. kelvin
Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has expressed that most people are too busy planning weddings instead of reflecting on the true meaning of marital vows.
He stated this on Friday in reaction to the recent drama between the Idibia’s in which Annie Idibia called out her husband, Tuface Idibia on social media for alleged infidelity.
“I promise to be TRUE to you in GOOD times and in BAD.” This is one of those strong words you say during marriage. We can even write a PhD thesis analysing what it means to be true to someone in good times and in bad,” the priest wrote.
“Unfortunately, most often, the time people spend to share aso ebi (uniform party cloth) and selecting style for nails and haircut and choosing bestman will not allow them sit down and reflect if actually they truly mean those words, he added
that is true cuz they were just doing it without knowing the full meaning of it…..
Some of people who got married nowadays don’t value the promise they made during that period
Until we realize that marriage is not for only good things all the time if not there will always issues
Most of the ladies or married women couldn’t endure in time of tribulations
Its not easy to be a couple, it takes the grace of God
