Photos of the Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State, Hon. Evangelist Margaret Inde, giving a tuber of yam, hoe and cutlass to empower her constituents has emerged online
Inde handed over the items during activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Obanliku LGA as well as celebration of the New Yam festival held on Friday, August 27.
Reactions have trailed the empowerment scheme, with many people criticising chairlady’s gesture while others blamed the able bodied men who lined up to accept the items from her.
