2023 presidency: Youths must take power, older politicians have failed – Dokubo
Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, NDPSF, Asari Dokubo has said the youths in Nigeria must step forward and take power from the older generation.
Asari made the remark while supporting a comment by former military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB, who had recently listed qualities the next president of Nigeria should possess.
He said the next President should be within 60 years of age, have friends everywhere, well-versed with economics and be a good Politician capable of talking to the People.
Reacting, Dokubo in a video on Facebook Page said the older generation of leaders have failed, hence the youths should rise up.
He also urged the youths to unite and pick those who can bring about change in Nigeria.
He said; “The younger generation must step forward now and take power. Power is not given, power is taken.
“Now that the older generation has realized that they failed. Ibrahim Babangida had come out to say that it is time for these people to retire. And that is the truth. They have nothing to offer.
“We have to look beyond their shoulders for much younger people to take over leadership positions, and correct the wrongs and the stagnation that the black race has been put into.
“For Ibrahim Babangida, I say thank you for the first time, for saying what will change and totally revolutionise the face of politics in this part of the world.
“So, for us, young people, we should come together, and identify those of us who are capable of leading this change. This is the time.”
that is true cuz those old cargo has failed us woefully…
Of course, we need to unite and change the narrative from bad to good
Even some of the youths are also corrupt which won’t allow is to achieve the goodness that we need in the country
We need to pray to God for better leaders not just anyone that won’t listen to our agitation
I hope if we eventually take over power, we will learn from their mistakes and correct them
Wahala for youths
