Calls for secession may be right but staying united is cheaper – Kukah
Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah
Catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese, has shared his opinion on.the calls for secession. Kukah expressed that it is far cheaper for Nigeria to remain as one country than breaking up into smaller units.
Speaking at ‘The Platform’ on Saturday, the cleric however, stated that those seeking to secede from Nigeria may be right regarding their concerns.
“It may be right for everybody to want to go. Yes, it may be right for people to want to feel so dissatisfied that they want an end to what we have today. But the cost of staying together is far cheaper than the cost of everybody going his way, he said
“The most important thing here is that the government must give us a reason. The body language – we need to be inspired as a country to inspire ourselves that this country is worth the psychological, the spiritual and the cultural engagements.
hmmmmmmmm…. that is true though…..
What you said was right but this administration is not ready to do anything that will make Nigeria better
Those people for secession in the country have reason for doing so but government is the one to call them to order and do the needful
Calling for secede may be right but our leaders behaving like they are less concern about what is going on in the country
May Almighty God come to our rescue and lead us through in this country
