Gunmen attack Police Station in Enugu; Kill two Officers

Gunmen are said to have attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani, Enugu State’s Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area.

The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to reports, two police officers were killed, and several others wounded, when the police station was set on fire

The assault on the police station began about 2:30 a.m. and lasted for an hour.

This follows several attacks on police stations in the South-East and South-South in recent weeks.

Though the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed arm, Eastern Security Network, were suspected for being behind the attacks by the immediate former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, IPOB has categorically refuted the allegations.
