“It is difficult to find a loyal person after leaving power”- Goodluck Jonathan
Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has expressed that it is difficult to find a loyal person to work with after leaving power.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 6.25Km Sabon Kaura-Jos by-pass road constructed by the Bauchi state government, the former Nigerian President noted that when one is in power, people act like they can’t do without them and after leaving power, they act like you no longer exist.
He said;
“There are people who act like they can’t eat without you when you’re in a position of power. But once you’re no longer in that position, they move on and act like you no longer exist,” NAN quoted him as saying.
“It is a very big day for me and you know why? Because it’s not easy for somebody to work with you in Nigeria then after leaving office, that person still continues with that kind of strong fraternal relationship with you.
that is true cuz they all went after you because of what they derive from your power and if the power is gone so is them too but true loyalist will stay……….
Such is life, nobody wants to associate with failure
That’s why you need to do good when you are in power
Nobody wants to associate with failure, that’s you need be a man of yourself when you were in power
People will be talking of good of you if you are giving them something
