Donald Trump launches a new website after social media bans

Former US President, Donald Trump has launched his official website after being banned from several social media platforms in the aftermath of the January Capitol insurrection.

“The Office of Donald J. Trump is committed to preserving the magnificent legacy of the Trump Administration, while at the same time advancing the America First agenda,” states the website.

The site stated that it’s goal is to inform, educate and inspire Americans “from all walks of life as we seek to build a truly great American Future” through civic engagement and public activism.

“Through this office, President Trump will remain a tireless champion for the hardworking men and women of our great country – and for their right to live in safety, dignity, prosperity, and peace,” the website, 45office.com states

The website invites people to “share your thoughts” using an online form with Trump saying he and his wife, Melania, “enjoy hearing from the American people.” Also shared on the site are their biographies as well as an account of Trump’s record in office, including on “trade, taxes, energy, regulation, immigration, and healthcare.”

It does reference how “the coronavirus plague arrived from China,” and says that Trump “acted early and decisively to ban travel from China and Europe, which saved countless lives.”

The site also includes more than a dozen pictures of himself, including photos of him greeting North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. Other photos are of the president and Melania Trump dancing at the inaugural ball and at black-tie dinners in the White House.
