#EndSARS Aftermath: CBN must desist from jumping into the Political Arena – Falana
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana, has called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stay away from politics and stick to it’s business of banking.
Falana’s call was made in reaction to the unfreezing of bank accounts belonging to 20 #EndSARS promoters.
The human rights lawyer who was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily tagged the act by the apex bank as an intimidation saying it went out if it’s way.
“I do hope that sufficient lessons have been learnt particularly by the Central Bank to desist from jumping into the political arena by attempting to freeze the accounts of people who are involved in the struggle one way or the other against the government,” he stated.
that is a good advice…. it will even be great if they can just stand neutral…..
They didn’t take those people to court, CBN just took the decision by themselves.
CBN use to go beyond their boundary, they ought not to have taken that decision without consulting the court.
