‘Investigate tenure of sacked Service Chiefs’ – Fayose tells ICC
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the tenure of Nigeria’s former service chiefs.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chiefs and appointed new officers as replacements.
Reacting to this development, in a series of tweets, the former Governor called on the International Court to investigate the resigned service chiefs over human rights abuses and extrajudicial killings.
He also accused the former service chiefs of serving “themselves and their pockets.”
He wrote:
“The sacked Service Chiefs only served themselves and their pockets and can at best be described as “Disservice Chiefs” under whom Nigeria became completely insecured.
“It is my call to the ICC and other relevant authorities that tenure of the “sacked” Service Chiefs should be investigated, most importantly human rights abuses and extrajudicial killings under their watch and commands.”
that is true cuz normally they were not supposed to used more than two year or three year but this people used more than five year in service….
If international criminal court can do this for us it will be a good development and serve as a lesson to those that will take over from them.
During their reign as service chiefs, a lot of people died under their watch without doing anything, they should assist us investigating them.
May God bless you Fayose open up on this issue especially during the end SARS protest which happened on 20-10-2020, this situation is terrific on this day.
You people should petition them about the atrocities of these ex service chiefs in which they committed during their tenure in the office.
No need for investigation, because even if you do. No result will come of it.
Yes I stand by you on this
This issue needs further investigation
