FG blames churches, schools for COVID-19 second wave

The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has claimed that the second wave of the virus in Nigeria was caused by series of travels, reopening of schools, businesses and religious centres,

According to reports, there are currently over 100,000 confirmed infections in the country and due to this there are ongoing reviews on the date of school resumption.

Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, speaking during Monday’s media briefing in Abuja, named factors that led to the spike in numbers.

“It is, however, very instructive to stress that factors that have contributed to rise in numbers from late November 2020 included increased local and international travels, business and religious activities, reopening of schools without strict compliance with COVID-19 safety measures,” Mustapha said.

  1. Which school are you talking about? Is it the one that on strike or vacation? I don’t think this man understand what he was talking about.

  2. What measures have you provide for those activities you mentioned? Are you still expecting the masses to bring sanitizer to the airport, government with no vision.

  3. The government of nowadays are full of lies, the should tell us the true colour of it if their is no COVID-19 in the land they should tell us instead of wasting the time of the students.

  4. We don’t have the believe in you with what you are telling us, you still want the students to continue sitting at home this shouldn’t be.

  5. They are not to blame for your failure cuz you should have provide proper amenities for them in other to curb the spreading…..

  6. President Muhammadu Buhari. Is so useless, so we should not make religious? Because I can see the reason why he will be blaming the church.
