Senator Gershom Bassey’s resident has been vandalized and looted by hoodlums rampaging the streets of Calabar. The hoodlums overpowered the security men attached to the property in spite of the 24 hour curfew declared in Cross River state.
Several buildings have also been vandalized which includes the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office along Marian Road, Cross River State Transport Regulatory Agency (CRTRA) office and banks along Mayne Avenue and 8-Miles Calabar.
Federal institutions like the Ministry of Agriculture, Cross River Basin Authourity, and Federal Psychiatric Hospital were also vandalized.
Houses belonging to some politicians were not spared. Some of those affected include Senators Gershom Bassey and Victor Ndoma Egba. Bassey’s houses located at Mayne Avenue by White and the one at Asari Iso were looted and burnt.
Military personnel have reportedly taken over major streets to restore order.
I pray his family are all safe
The word of great pa obafemi awolowo now coming to pass which says “the children of poor that you refuse to train won’t let you children enjoy” can all politicians see this by themselves, is better for them to let people enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Nigerians have tired of what’s going on in this country where only few people will be enjoying the wealth that belongs to everyone of us, someone will work for thirty days and take #18,000 as wages while another will work just for fifteen days and go along with thirty million naira then where is equity and equality, may God help us in this nation.
We should trend softly on this issue because vandalizing another person’s properties won’t solve the issues on ground. The president should quickly come up with immediate solution before it worsen than these.
This matter is getting worse by the day, government should do something really fast.
Is good like that.
What did he do?

The case is turning out to be something else,God help us.
This is serious
We pray that normalcy returns..o
God please heal our land
If they don’t change something worst than this will be happening.
All the bad politicians are in problem,i pray they don’t turn back against the youth with there armed thugs and police.
Since the government said they won’t hear the voice of the angry youths and come to their aid and grant us our heart desires more vandalization on government properties are still coming if you people still keep mute as if all is well.
