NECO postpones exam over #EndSARS Protest
The National Examination Council, NECO, has rescheduled one of the practical examinations which was supposed to hold in October till next month.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, October 18, by the Head, Information and Public Relations Division for the Nigerian exam body, Mr. Azeez Sani.
He announced that the Paper I Computer Studies Practicals examination which was supposed to be taken on Monday, October 19 will now be postponed till November 16, 2020.
Sani revealed that the postponement is as a result of the ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country, particularly the blockage of movement of transport at the entrance gate into Benin City, the Edo state capital.
He noted further that the truck conveying NECO examination materials had left its take-off point two days earlier to deliver to some states but has been held up in the ‘blockage.
It is still for the betterment of the nation…the students can write the exam on the fixed date.
It is nice they postpone it because it is someone who is alife will go to school and by the way when they finish their schooling where will they work
Let’s sanitize our country first
what does neco has to do with protest
ADMIT IT: Life would be so boring without education.
The goal of education is to replace an empty mind with an open mind.
Open school for the benefit of every bodies.
That’s good for the safety of the students who wants to involve in the exam, that’s safety step.
Safety comes first in anything, if allow the students to sit for exam may cause loss of life on their to examination hall, this step is good one to take.
Prevention is better than cure. Government should take drastic steps in addressing the issue of protest before leading to something else.
They tried to postpone it abeg at least for the safety of the children, this one evil people have started paying thugs to destroy things.
Wonder
Is proper, because it is very dangerous to hold the examination during this ongoing Nationwide protest. Kudos👍
That is bad ooo… Another delay for this poor students
Very good they postponed it, it’s for the safety of the students.
It’s also part of the protest everyone should queue in lets end bad government in Nigeria
We already know NECO can not hold anymore because of the ongoing nation protest.
