Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has ordered the immediate release of N100 million for the renovation of Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace which was vandalized during the #EndSARS protest in the community.
The monarch was attacked after being accused of doing nothing when a student identified as Jimoh Isaiq was shot dead during the #EndSARS protest.
The Oyo state Governor directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in the state, Chief Bayo Lawal and the Caretaker Chairman, Ogbomoso North Local Government Council to do an assessment and documentation of the vandalised parts of the palace as well as vehicles to determine what would be repaired and those to be replaced.
Governor Makinde who also visited the family of deceased; Jimoh Isaiq, Taiwo Adeoye and Moshood Ganiyu, directed that N1million be given to each of the families. He also urged them to take the untimely demise of their kids as an act of God.
Renovation
#100m for renovation this country is a joke even white house does not cost #100m
This country now has become a business centre nw
Okay look at yahoo boys oh, he can not compensate the boy family that was short, just to repair the places.that not even enough for renovation.
Though, the lives of departed souls are more than 1million naira but death is inevitable which no one can’t stop it when it comes. May the departed souls rest in perfect peace and grant the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
May Almighty God forgive the departed souls their sins and console the family for this loss. Kudos to governor makinde for his quick intervention on this matter and I will implore the youths to trend softly on the protest of end SARS.
The police brutality must end, let us again look at the way they killed those people that leads to their untimely death. May Almighty God forgive the departed soul their sins. Thanks for the governor for console these family and the renovation of the soun ogbomosho’s palace.
This governor to me is just talking out of point
What is N1m compared to a human life’s s did I hear him say their death is an act of God
Please he should remove God from this case..o
It is their bad leadership that is causing all these
That is absurd… Giving 100m just for useless renovation when the family of the deceased get 1m
so that is what u will think of doing after the killing of an innocent boy God will help us in this country
Well spend money
That is good news
Will #1m bring back his live or did the you think if he is alive will not earn more than #1m for his family. Well may his soul rest in peace.
So what about the student that was shot dead? Hope you will compensate the family too.
