Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo leaves Nigeria for Ghana

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, leaves Abuja for Accra, Ghana to attend an Extraordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on the situation in Mali.

Prof. Osinbajo, who is representing President Muhammadu Buhari at the summit, will join other leaders in the sub-region to discuss the political crisis in Mali and the security situation in the sub-region at large.

Accompanying the Vice President is the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada.

According to a statement by the Vice President’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, the Accra meeting will form part of several efforts by leaders in the sub-region to resolve Mali’s political crisis.

The Vice President will also meet with representatives of the Nigerian community in Ghana to discuss issues bothering on their wellbeing in the West African country, the statement said

Prof Osinbajo is expected back in Abuja today at the end of his engagements in Ghana.

  7. As you are going to the ghana to settle the crises rocking sub Sahara Africa which includes Mali, I will implore you to remember to solve the problems bothering Nigerians living in Ghana about their businesses and other well being of meaningful Nigerians living in Ghana. I wish you safe trip.

  8. Charity begins at home they say! Why can’t government solve Nigeria’s problems such as insecurities, high level of unemployment, poverty etc. before going out to solve another countries problems. Average Nigerians are wallowing in abject poverty and insecurities and you left your own problems to solve another one then who will help you to solve yours. Our leaders don’t know what to do again at all. May you return safely.
