Buhari suspends all top officials of the EFCC
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly suspended no fewer than 11 senior officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
According to reports by P.M.News, the suspension of the officials was to allow for unfettered investigation of the commission. Among those suspended on Tuesday night includes; EFCC executive Secretary Olanipekun Olukoyede
‘They were suspended for various alleged criminal and corrupt infractions”. a source revealed.
The source added that “All the top officials in the agency have been suspended, their offices locked, to prevent any tampering with files at the commission.”
Mohammed Umar Abba, who was asked to replace Magu survived suspension because he was found not to be a part of the suspected underhand dealings in the agency.
I will implore the panel of enquiry to give them fair hearing and bring the culprit to the book. Injustice should not be allowed to prevail their enquiry.
Ok
Baba Go Slow, so it takes the action of the AGF for the president to know what Magu and his cohort were up to. Set a thief to catch a thief. The Efcc is not only the corrupt agency the government should tackle. What about NPA, the Custom, NIS etc. The problem of corruption in these agencies is not their heads nor directors. The problem is with Buhari. He give appointment and go to sleep. He never border to see if the appointees are doing what they are asked to do. How can a president appoint someone to a particular postion and allow such person to stay over 5 years there. Who will stay so long in an appointed position without soiling his hand when he has come to take the place as his absolute haven. In a country of over 200 million people, one person will occuppy a post for such long, when such post is not elective. It shows we have docile ineffective leadership. In a good democratic government, Uhari should be impeached by now
Jst imagine an organization incharge of financial crime been caught in a criminal act
Nawa o
That’s good one from the president
We need a corruption free Nigeria
