Obaseki officially defects to PDP

Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has officially defected to the peoples Democratic party (PDP). This comes days after his resignation from the leading all progressives congress (APC).

Obaseki announced his decision on Friday afternoon at the state Secretariat of the party in Benin City, Edo State. The opposition party expressed happiness at the governor’s Decision as the news was shared via the party’s official twitter handle.

PDP wrote: “Breaking News! The governor of Edo State, H. E. @GovernorObaseki has defected to our great Party, the @OfficialPDPNig.”

“The declaration was made this afternoon at the state Secretariat of our party in Benin city, Edo State. Power to the people. #EdoIsPDP. @officialKolaO”

  1. Before you became governor of EDO, you were in APC and your opponent is in PDP
    THIS year you’re in PDP and your opponent is in APC
    Is Nigeria politics not a joke guys
    Because you were told.not to re run, you had to do all in your power to remain on seat…very unfair

  2. Is it under must for a sitting governor to run for the second term? In a country that we 200million people and were opportune to lead up to 3.6million people yet you are not satisfied. Either PDP or APC nothing different because a leopard can not change its color.
