Coronavirus: First Case confirmed in Benue State
Benue State Government has announced its first Coronavirus case.
According to a statement by the Governor, Samuel Ortom, its index case is a lady Susan Okpe, who recently returned from the UK and is presently undergoing treatment.
The Governor said he disclosed the name of the patient so that anyone who might have had any contact with her within the last two weeks should come forward for testing and isolation.
He advised residents of the state not to stigmatise the patient but rather support her and anyone who may have had close contact with her.
