Atiku Sends Condolence Message to his late Aide, Umar Pariya
Umar Pariya, a close aide of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is dead. Pariya served Atiku during his time as Vice-President and has remained in his close circles. He died in Dubai. The cause of his death is yet unknown.
The news of the death of the former presidential aide was announced by Yakubu Dogara, the former House of Representatives Speaker. He tweeted, “I received with shock the sad news of the sudden death of Alhaji Umar Pariya. Alh Pariya was an exceptionally gifted and energetic man who pursued with courage; causes that were larger than himself. Humility was his trademark and loyalty his seal.

Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page expressed sadness over the incident. He wrote: “Umar Pariya was much more than a longstanding aide to me; he was incredibly loyal and qualified as a member of my family. He will be missed.
“May Allah comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Amen.
